NeuroMap started as a simple question: why does most brain anatomy content live in dense textbooks or paywalled journals, when the underlying subject is genuinely fascinating? We built an interactive atlas that lets anyone - students, curious readers, or people trying to understand a diagnosis a loved one has received - explore the brain's major structures visually and at their own pace, then go as deep as they want with full articles on each region and the conditions associated with it.
Every article on NeuroMap is written to summarise well-established neuroscience: the kind of material found in standard neuroanatomy and neuropsychology references, historical case studies, and peer-reviewed research that has become foundational to the field (such as the case of Phineas Gage or the split-brain studies of the mid-20th century). Where relevant, we link related regions, conditions, and glossary terms so you can follow a topic as deep as you like.
Every region and condition article is reviewed by the NeuroMap Editorial Team before publishing and periodically re-checked against current sources as understanding evolves. Each article's byline shows when it was last reviewed, so you always know how current the page you're reading is.
